Total Budget: USD 30,000

Executive Summary

The project Providing Monthly Medicines to Vulnerable Seniors addresses the urgent healthcare needs of impoverished and neglected elderly people in Pakistan. Many senior citizens, especially those who are widowed or abandoned by their families, suffer from chronic illnesses but cannot afford life-saving medicines due to extreme poverty and rising healthcare costs.

Moses Welfare Foundation aims to provide free monthly medicines and basic healthcare support to vulnerable elders, ensuring relief from suffering, preventing medical complications, and restoring dignity and comfort in their later years.

Problem Statement

Pakistan is witnessing a growing population of elderly individuals living in poverty and neglect. Many suffer from chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, arthritis, and respiratory illnesses. Without financial support, they are unable to purchase medicines or access regular medical care.

As a result:

  • Chronic illnesses remain untreated or poorly managed
  • Health deteriorates rapidly, leading to preventable complications
  • Elders suffer physical pain, emotional distress, and social isolation
  • Many face premature death due to a lack of treatment

Beyond physical suffering, the lack of care strips elders of dignity and hope.

Project Objective

To provide free monthly medicines and basic healthcare support to vulnerable senior citizens to improve their health, relieve suffering, and restore dignity in their final years.

Project Description & Activities

The project will:

  • Identify and register vulnerable elderly beneficiaries
  • Conduct basic health screenings and medical assessments
  • Provide free monthly medicine packages for chronic illnesses
  • Facilitate periodic medical check-ups through partner clinics
  • Monitor health progress and ensure continuity of treatment
  • Report transparently to donors and stakeholders

Expected Outcomes

  • Improved health and reduced pain among elderly beneficiaries
  • Prevention of complications related to chronic illnesses
  • Increased life expectancy and improved quality of life
  • Restoration of dignity, comfort, and emotional well-being
  • Strengthened trust between communities and humanitarian services

Long-Term Impact

This initiative will contribute to a culture of respect and care for elders in Pakistani society. By ensuring consistent medical support, elders can live longer, healthier, and more peaceful lives. The project will also inspire families and communities to value and support senior citizens, strengthening social responsibility and compassion across generations.

Budget Overview

Total Budget: USD 30,000
Funds Raised: USD 20
Remaining Required: USD 29,980

The budget covers medicines, health screenings, medical consultations, logistics, monitoring, and reporting.

Current Need and Appeal

Only USD 20 has been raised so far, leaving a critical funding gap of USD 29,980. Hundreds of senior citizens urgently need medicines for daily survival, but have no means to afford treatment.

Your support can:

  • Relieve pain
  • Save lives
  • Restore dignity
  • Bring comfort and peace to the elderly

Conclusion

A society is judged by how it treats its elders. By supporting Providing Monthly Medicines to Vulnerable Seniors, you help ensure that Pakistan’s most vulnerable elderly do not suffer in silence.

We respectfully invite you to stand with Moses Welfare Foundation in honoring our elders and protecting their right to live with dignity and care.
