An opportunity that you can't miss...

By Claire Pasquato | Outreach Manager

Let's go for a game drive!
Let's go for a game drive!

Dear friends,

Even though the learners have been on holiday since mid-November, we are still working hard at the Eco-Club. The students always want to learn more about nature conservation.

We are developing our service of guidance in the eco-tourism field. Portia, one of our post-matric students, is looking for a job as a receptionist. We worked on her CV and, thanks to our network, we sent her application to more than 200 lodges nearby. Of course, we will keep you posted on the result!

Some of our first Eco-Club students have grown-up and, over a 3-week period, we are inviting them back to Daktari, not as kids, but as volunteers! It is a very good experience for them to teach, to work on their confidence and to meet worldwide volunteers!

That we have managed to achieve this is thanks to YOU and your financial support! We can never thank you enough for that!

This Tuesday, the 3rd of December, is a very special day for us! You can really make the difference! Microsoft YouthSpark through Global Giving is offering you the opportunity that you won’t want to miss! Every donation between $10 up to $1000 will be 100% matched! $250 000 are available, so be prepared! Matching begins at 12.00 PM EST (South Africa: 7.00 PM – Europe: 6.00 PM – UK: 5.00 PM).

As you may know, we have already organized some game-drives for those underprivileged kids because they need to be more aware of their heritage to take care of it! Those game-drives are as important as the lessons. One cannot be without the other! But for that we need money! This very special day will enable you to double your donation’s impact!

Please, share this information with your family and friends.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any further information.

Thank you again for your support.
