Fueling growth and education

Students enjoying lunch!
Students enjoying lunch!

Greetings from Mozambique!

We are excited to announce that we have expanded our school lunch program to an eigth primary school this year -- Maloluane Primary School. One of the teachers at this school used to be a teacher at another school where the Mozambique School Lunch Initiative works, and he has been advocating for his new school to be included in our lunch program ever since he started. Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we were able to launch the school lunch program in Maloluane Primary School at the end of last month. Right now, there are just 25 students at this school, but we expect more to start enrolling now that there is the incentive of the school lunch program.

For us, each child matters, and we are excited to continue expanding our program one step at a time. We partner closely with the local community, working with the school council and leadership, and training local cooks to prepare the nutritious meals. This training is important to ensure that the food served is high-quality and delicious, and meets the nutritional needs of the students.

With this expansion, we are now serving over 2,000 school lunches every day. Those are 2,000 children who are now able to focus better when they are in school. This is a critical time in a child's development, and helps put children on a path for success in the future.

We thank you for your support of children in Mozambique. We hope to expand to many more schools in rural Mozambique, and every donation helps make this happen.

Thank you!
