Many students enrolled at colleges are struggling to complete their education due to a lack of funds. The student loans they take are not enough to cover other needs like food. Many students end up doing odd jobs to buy food; hence their time is spent earning an income to survive instead of concentrating on their studies.
The project provided food to seven students from Malawi University for Business and Applied Sciences for one month. The food items received included 5kgs cream of maize, 5kgs rice, 1kg soya pieces, 1kg salt, 1 litre cooking oil, 3 tinned fish and 1 tray of 30 eggs.
The food provided to these students made a big impact, allowing them to concentrate on their studies and not stress over how to get their next meal.
The need is great, and we are currently reaching 170 students monthly though other funds but each month we get more requests. Therefore, we appeal for more funds to assist more students.
