Voices of Children provides crucial psychological support to Ukrainian children and their families affected by the war, operating through our established 15 centers across Ukraine and through our online support line. Your contribution will support the provision of monthly individual and group sessions led by our psychologists for at least 80 children and their parents at one of our centers.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Health predicts that as many as 15 million will need psychosocial support. According to another research in Ukraine, 75% of children suffered psychological trauma against the background of the war. Also, 1 in 5 children has sleep disorders, 1 in 10 has a decreased desire to communicate, nightmares, and memory impairment. The main requests we receive are families dealing with loss, PTSD, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, child-parent relationships, and adaptation of IDPs.
Our organization provides psychological and psychosocial support to children and parents through our 15 centers and online support line. Moreover, our mobile teams of psychologists regularly go to communities who lack easy access to psychological aid to provide support there as well. Each person receives up to 10 individual sessions, can visit our group sessions, and participate in psychosocial activities. More than 1,000 children and 500 parents across Ukraine visit our centers monthly.
Voices of Children was founded with the mission to ensure no child is left alone with the experience of war. Our comprehensive approach helps children, and their families cope with what is happening around them, overcome stress, prevent serious and profound trauma, and find inner resources to move forward. Through incremental actions, we draw nearer to a future where children are not casualties of war, but instead, enjoy freedom and happiness. Shape the future of Ukrainian children today!
