This fall, the Kyiv Center has continued to be a haven of resilience and healing for children and families affected by war. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve hosted workshops, welcomed special guests, and provided psychological sessions that have profoundly impacted the lives of those we serve.
New Programs for the Season
This season, we introduced three engaging weekly groups:
Between September and November, our creative workshops and teen groups flourished. During the fall, we expanded our offerings with three intensive workshops and launched a kids’ film club. In partnership with the National Library of Ukraine for Children, our specialists conducted anti-bullying training for 5th and 6th graders.
Supporting Future Psychologists
A milestone this fall was welcoming 3rd-year psychology students from a local university for internships at the Kyiv Center and the “I Am Mariupol” center. These future professionals gained hands-on experience working with children while contributing to our mission.
Stories of Impact
One Mariupol teenager who has attended the center for nearly a year shared, “This is the best place in Kyiv for me,” after losing her father this month. Her words reflect the hope and community we aim to foster. Another visitor left a touching review, calling the center “too cool for this planet” and “the best place I have ever been.”
Building Connections
Thanks to Canadian volunteers, the center now hosts weekly English board game sessions every Tuesday, giving children a space to play, learn, and connect. Our mobile team also completed meaningful work in the modular IDP town and reached the village of Lyubymivka, extending our impact beyond the center’s walls.
Looking Ahead
As we move into 2025, we intend to expand this fundraiser towards any and all of our programs at our psychological centers across Ukraine. Your support ensures we can continue providing essential services to children and families recovering from the traumas of war.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity, which ensures no child has to face these challenges alone. Wishing you a joyful and peaceful holiday season.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
