Title: Ramadan Food Packages Distributed to 1,000 Burmese Refugees in Karachi
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation distributed Ramadan ration packages to 1,000 Burmese refugees residing at the Alkhidmat Community Center in Korangi, Karachi, helping them meet their essential food needs during the holy month of Ramadan.
These food packages ensure that vulnerable refugee families can observe Ramadan with dignity, providing sufficient supplies for Sehri and Iftar.
Story / Update
Thousands of Burmese refugees, including women and children, have been living at the Alkhidmat Community Center in Korangi, Karachi, after fleeing hardship and displacement. Many of these families face daily challenges in securing sufficient food and basic necessities, especially during Ramadan when nutritional needs increase.
To support these vulnerable families, Alkhidmat Foundation distributed Ramadan food packages containing flour, rice, cooking oil, pulses, syrup, and other essential food items. These packages are carefully designed to help families prepare Sehri and Iftar meals throughout the holy month.
This timely assistance brought immense relief to refugee families, allowing them to focus on worship, prayer, and spiritual reflection without the added burden of food insecurity. Mothers expressed gratitude for the support, as it ensured their children would not go hungry during Ramadan.
Alkhidmat Foundation remains committed to supporting refugee communities by providing food, shelter, healthcare, and essential services to improve their quality of life.
