Dear all,
“I want to be a doctor to help my people, but I can’t even read.” A phrase so commonly heard with refugee kids. Their dreams and futures are on hold because they do not have access to one of the most basic human rights, education. As a result of the economic crisis and the covid 19 pandemic, many schools shut down, especially in areas heavily populated by Syrian refugees.
Reaching a child online has given many Syrian refugee children the chance to learn to read and write. After recruiting teachers and verifying their qualifications, we bought tablets for over 100 Syrian refugee children between the ages of 6 and 14. Your donations will be teaching illiterate refugee children living in camps in Bekaa the basics of reading, speaking, and writing in Arabic and English.
The project is still ongoing and will be operating over the next six months.
Together, we will slowly but surely help these children have a chance for a better future.
Best regards,
URDA Team
