1. Introduction
F SSIBU Mission Foundation – Uganda is committed to improving children's welfare and access to quality education in underserved communities. As part of this mission, we are raising awareness and mobilizing support to rebuild and improve the learning environment at Mwanyagiri Community Primary School.
The school serves more than 500 pupils from Mwanyagiri and surrounding communities. However, the condition of its existing facilities presents serious challenges to children's safety, comfort, and effective learning.
2. The Current Situation
For many years, Mwanyagiri Community Primary School has served as an important source of education for children in the community. Unfortunately, its aging infrastructure and inadequate facilities have made learning increasingly difficult.
Some pupils study in deteriorating classrooms with leaking roofs, while others lack adequate desks and chairs. The school also faces serious sanitation challenges, including an old pit latrine that has reached full capacity and requires urgent replacement.
These conditions affect pupils' health, dignity, concentration, and overall learning experience. Teachers also face difficulties delivering lessons effectively in an environment that lacks essential facilities.
3. The Rebuilding Initiative
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is mobilizing community members, well-wishers, development partners, and donors to support the rebuilding and improvement of Mwanyagiri Community Primary School.
The initiative aims to improve classroom structures, repair leaking roofs, provide desks and chairs, and improve sanitation facilities. Particular attention will be given to constructing a safe and hygienic toilet facility to serve the school's more than 500 pupils.
Through fundraising and partnerships, we hope to create a safer, cleaner, and more supportive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to learn with dignity.
4. Expected Impact
Rebuilding and improving the school will help protect children from unsafe learning conditions, improve sanitation and hygiene, and create a more comfortable environment for teaching and learning. Better facilities can also encourage school attendance, improve concentration, and strengthen community confidence in education.
In the long term, the initiative will contribute to improved educational opportunities and a stronger foundation for children to pursue their dreams.
5. Conclusion and Call for Support
Every child deserves a safe place to learn, regardless of where they are born or the circumstances of their family. The children of Mwanyagiri deserve classrooms that protect them from rain, adequate furniture, and safe sanitation facilities.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation invites individuals, organizations, businesses, and development partners to join us in rebuilding Mwanyagiri Community Primary School. Every contribution, whether financial, material, or through partnership, can help move this vision forward.
Together, we can rebuild Mwanyagiri Community Primary School and create a better future for its children.
