Thank you for your early support for the project to rehabilitate 1,500 Nigerian youth affected by drug abuse and related dangers. The funds received so far are appreciated, though still not enough to begin the full rehabilitation cycle. Your contribution helps draw attention to a crisis harming young people and destabilizing entire communities.
Across many states, drug addiction continues to push youth into cultism, gang violence, robbery, and sexual exploitation. Families report rising dropout rates, serious health issues, and deaths linked to drug-related conflicts. Communities also suffer from insecurity and the loss of young people who could have become skilled workers, business owners, or leaders. The scale of addiction has outpaced available treatment, leaving many without any support.
This project is designed to break that cycle. Once fully funded, it will identify vulnerable youth and enroll them in structured rehabilitation programs. They will receive counseling, medical support, and therapy to address addiction. Vocational training in skills such as tailoring, catering, and soap making will give them honest ways to earn income. Mentors will work with each participant to build confidence, support recovery, and help them transition into stable, drug-free lives.
The long-term benefits are clear. Rehabilitated youth can return home with renewed purpose, contribute positively to their communities, and stay away from criminal groups. Their transformation will inspire others to seek help. Families will regain their children, and communities will become safer as crime levels decline. Local economies will also grow as trainees launch small enterprises with their new skills.
