Introduction

Release Sobbig Daughters from Sexual Abuse is a Project of Resuce Foundation, it supports the cause of Rescued Women and Children who have been victims of Human Trafficking, Child Sexual Abuse and Commercial Sexual Explolitation in the State of Maharashtra in India

Rescue Foundation has been rescuing women and children in India for past 25 years.  It has gained a reputation with the Govt of India as a partner in Rescue, Rehabilitation and Restoring of Women Children who have been sold, trapped in the web of Trafficking Humans for Commercial Sex.  It has set up 4 Protection Homes across the country which are licensed by the Govt. of India as part of its strategy to prevent Human Trafficking and Sexual Abuse and Violence among Women and Children

Rescue Foundation has a team of over 80 plus trained and dedicated staff who worik tirelessly to achieve the goals, vision and objective of the Organization

Besides the Govt Rescue Foundation partners with various organizations, civil society, individuals locally, nationally and at International levels

Its Founder Mrs. Triveni Acharya has been instrumental in setting the tone of the organiziation, she maintains a homely, warm environment at all the 4 Homes, is personally invested in each life which is saved and restored.

Women and Children post rescued are rehabilitated for a a period till permissions are sought from the Women & Child Department to hand them over to their families.  Some of those who are not able to go back home for whatever reasons are supported with training, linking with job opportunities or further studies.

The Organization has also initiated After Care Homes in some of their Homes which enables some of the survivors to stay on for a longer period to explore possiblities for a better future.

One of the recent intitiative has been to empower our Major Released Women and Girls to be Mentors/Trainers/Intructors to the others. This has been very effective in gaining trust of our new Women and Children who enter the Homes.

The Home celebrated Diwali, Dassera, Christmas during this period with the same enthusiam.  There were festive decorations,lights, fireworks, good food, dancing music al around.  It's no wonder the girls cry when they leave the Home post release.

Conclusion

We are grateful for the continuous support we receive from our donors.  This has enabled us to resuce, rehabilitate and restore so many of our Survivors

Some of Survivors have gone back to their families, few of them have been have started working, some even have got married with the support from Rescue Foundation.  We have been following them us regularly.  Its such a joy to see our family grow with spouses, children visiting the Home and calling us family. 

She makes the world bright, but still struggles to see light.

Rescue foundation was established to accelerate the progress on meeting needs of survivors. While rehabilitation we stand behind survivors equal participation in all aspects of their lives, focusing on five priority areas: enhance knowledge by providing formal and informal education, help them to upgrade their healthy, increase strength to face the world with legal aid program, self-realization and actualization by counseling and build a new confidence and economically sustainability by vocational training and providing jobs.

Our three protective homes is an actual home for them where they grow, achieve energy and strength to cope and face with the world. We not only help them to learn how to face and fight under critical circumstances but also we they learn how to nurture own self and live in harmony hence after.

Besides Challenge of identification of our investigators in the brothel or Attacks of perpetrators on us, we are still optimistic toward any risk to save innocent lives from the clutches of evil. It also strengthens us to develop more and more effective strategies to attain our goal of rendering humanitarian lives to more and more girls and help them regain their human rights.

Mission: to prevent and protect children and young adults from trafficking for sexual exploitation, our mission is to reinstate human rights to victims of human trafficking, trafficked from Bangladesh, Nepal and India who are sexually abused and are sold for forced prostitution.

Project Description

Rescue, Rehabilitation and Repatriation of victim girls/women/children of Human Trafficking who are sold for forced prostitution.

Currently Rescue Foundation has a Staff of about 80 members, including the president, a Project Executive, Advocates, Probation Officers, Counselors, Doctors and other administrative staff.

Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries are girls /women /children who are victims of Human Trafficking and are sold for forced prostitution. They have lost all faith on mankind due to the physical & mental Torture in the Brothels as well as intricate brain wash. They are underprivileged and most of them are illiterate.

• International Yoga Day - The Rescue Foundation Celebrated International Yoga Day in all four shelter homes, recognizing the profound healing power of yoga in aiding survivors' recovery from trauma. Understanding the therapeutic benefits, we've incorporated daily yoga classes in each of our homes, fostering physical and emotional well-being among our survivors.

• Dental Camp – We organized a Dental Camp, demonstrating our commitment to holistic care for survivors of human trafficking. Rescue Foundation understands that dental health is an integral part of overall well-being, which is why we provide comprehensive dental check-ups and treatments to ensure our Survivors' health and comfort.

• We recently organized a skilling summer camp for the trainers involved in the Ekatra project. During this camp, survivors had the invaluable opportunity to learn from external experts in various areas, including macrame craft, mandala art, jute craft, and essential life skills. These newfound skills not only enhance their own abilities but also equip them to be better leaders and teachers, enabling them to empower other survivors on their journey to recovery and independence. This initiative reflects our commitment to comprehensive development and empowerment within our survivor community.
