Children are homeless, families have lost everything, and millions are at risk as devastating floods sweep across Pakistan. Since 26 June 2025, relentless monsoon rains have affected over 5.8 million people, forced 2.4 million evacuations, and left 94,000 seeking refuge in shelters. Floodwaters have destroyed 7,851 homes, claimed 922 lives, injured over 1,000 people, and wiped out thousands of livestock. Punjab, KP, and Sindh provinces face ongoing riverine and urban flooding, with urgent needs
Floods and monsoon rains in Pakistan have unleashed devastation, claiming countless lives, sweeping away villages, displacing families, and leaving millions in despair. This is not just a natural disaster; it is the harsh reality of climate change hitting vulnerable communities the hardest. Urgent action is needed to respond, rebuild, and build resilience before more lives and futures are washed away.
This project will first provide urgent rations to flood-affected families who have lost homes, livelihoods, and access to healthcare. Based on AWARD's completed assessment, we will deliver essential support in shelter, health, and livelihood recovery. This phased approach ensures families not only survive today but can rebuild with dignity, resilience, and hope for the future.
This project will create lasting change by first meeting urgent needs, such as rations, shelter, healthcare, and livelihood support, and then helping families rebuild with dignity. By assessing further needs, it will restore income sources, improve housing and health services, and enhance disaster preparedness. Children and vulnerable groups will regain stability, while communities grow more resilient, self-reliant, and better equipped to face future floods and climate shocks.
