Give Girls a Safe Path Away from Forced Marriage

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your interest in the Rescue Underage Nigeria Girls from Forced Marriage project. At this time, no donations have been received, so rescue and protection activities have not yet started.

In some communities, young girls are taken out of school and pushed into marriage at an early age. Many have little or no say in the decision, and once married, they lose access to education and basic rights.

These girls face serious risks, including abuse, early pregnancy, and long-term hardship. Without support, many remain in these conditions with no clear way out or access to protection.

This project is designed to identify girls at risk, remove them from unsafe situations, and provide safe shelter, food, and legal support. It will also help them return to school or learn a trade so they can rebuild their lives.

With the right support, these girls can move away from harmful situations and begin a safer and more stable future. It also gives them the chance to regain confidence and make choices about their own lives.

Protecting Underage Girls from Forced Marriage

Dear donors,

Thank you for standing with us as we work toward the “Rescue Underage Nigeria Girls from Forced Marriage” project. Although the funds raised so far are not enough to begin full rescues or shelter support, your early contribution keeps this mission alive and allows us to continue the groundwork required for a safe and effective launch once full funding is secured. The situation facing girls in high-risk communities remains urgent, and your support gives them hope that help is on the way.

Over the past months, our team has focused on building the foundation for the rescue operations. We strengthened our network of local contacts, including teachers, women leaders, and community monitors who are often the first to notice when a girl is at risk of being forced into marriage. We also carried out preliminary assessments in several rural and low-income communities, identifying common triggers such as poverty, family pressure, and early school withdrawal. These findings will guide our response once implementation begins.

We have also been working with legal partners and social workers who will provide protection and follow-up support. While we cannot yet move girls into safe houses due to limited funds, our preparatory work ensures that once resources are available, the rescue process will be swift, confidential, and secure. Awareness sessions were also held quietly within communities to help girls understand their rights and encourage them to seek help when needed.

Your support at this stage is deeply appreciated. Even though full activities have not started, your contribution keeps the project active and lets vulnerable girls know that they are not forgotten. We remain committed and ready to begin once adequate funding is reached.
