Access is Everything

Chitende Bridge - Constructed in 2020
Chitende Bridge - Constructed in 2020

Hello Collective Community & Supporters,

Thank you so much for your continued support of our work in Malawi. It is thanks to your generous donations that we are able to keep our programs going. We continue to serve over 500 students daily meals at school each week because of you.

Soon, we are planning to launch our largest campaign yet, Chitende Road Project. Most of you already know from hearing our stories that Chitende gets cut off from access to health and essential services every year during rainy season.  This isn't just an inconvenience, it directly impacts the health, stability, and long-term opportunities for the residents living here.

We’ve already seen what’s possible when access improves. In 2020, we worked with the community to build a bridge at the worst part of the road. This bridge made it possible for the school to install its first improved water source, and it paved the way for a rural health clinic to be built in the area. Completion of the road project will allow us to create year-round access for our community, which will enable future development in the area, including finally being able to bring power to Chitende!

So keep your eyes peeled for more videos and stories in the coming months and to stay tuned on how you can get involved and share this exciting work we are doing!

Sending all the love from our community in Malawi!
