A Big Thank You for Supporting Our Community!

By Zinyengo Kawonga | Co-founder

Hello Our Dearest Supporters!

We would like to say a very big thank you for your generous support towards our programs. In a meeting with our school feeding committee at Thukutu Primary School, one of the community members said, "Malawi's economy has moved to the extreme worse recently, there is hunger everywhere and the cost of food are very high for us. However, through the school feeding program we feel exceptional. Our children are able to eat and attend school."  I wanted to share how grateful our community is to you.

The school feeding program is continuing to contribute towards improved academic performance. Previously we reported 98.12% of standard 8 students passing their national examinations, which was impressive. This time we are happy to tell you that even in other grade levels, learners' performance has improved by 30.5% on avarage compared to previous years. This is a very big improvement for them. It means students are now able to fully concentrate and engage themselves in class.

In addition, the Thukutu community was able to grow 4 acres of maize, where we are expecting a good harvest that will greatly improve our program this year. It's all because of your support. Without you we wouldn't be attaining such figures.

Our deepest gratitude for your continued support!
