We will provide quality education to 600 children of widows in rural areas of Kasur, Pakistan. By educating we will set free 600 children from Child Labour. These poverty-stricken widows face many problems such as critical home conditions, lack of food, and illiteracy. These problems will be alleviated if we provide their children with the gift of education.
Widows who work in brick kilns with young children are living in extreme poverty. These persons are emotionally, and physically tortured. They are also sexually harassed even their children do not escape molestation. The work in brickyard is extremely difficult and the income is very low. Since these workers are illiterate and do not have simple mathematics skills they are often financially cheated by their employers. This project will affect more more than 310 poverty stricken families.
This project will provide quality primary education to 600 children of rural widows. These children will be shifted from brickyard and other different abusive workplaces to classrooms. Most of these children have never seen a school in their life. Their children will be taught to count bricks and keep a record of their parents' income. . On parent teacher meeting they will know the performance of their children and taught about their rights, how to stay safe in abusive and harsh environment.
The employers will stop taking advantage of their illiteracy. Once educated they will get decent respectable jobs . They can start a small business. They will raise from poverty. The problems such as critical home conditions, lack of food, and illiteracy. These problems will be alleviated if we provide their children with the gift of education. The gift of education, will make beneficial and productive individuals for local and global community. They will stand against the oppression.
