Executive Summary

This report provides an overview of the activities, outcomes, and financial utilization of the USD $1,000 grant awarded to support Christian Education and Development Organization, to build safe house in Tanzania. The funding contributed significantly toward advancing project objectives, supporting operational activities, and positively impacting the intended beneficiaries.

Through careful planning and implementation, the grant enabled the successful completion of key activities, Building a strong foundation for a safe house storage room. The project achieved measurable progress within the reporting period and demonstrated responsible financial stewardship.

Activities Implemented

During the reporting period, the following activities were completed:

  •  Collecting stones, sad,
  •  Buying cement 8 Bags
  •  Bill of water
  •  Consultants

These activities were carried out according to the approved project timeline and aligned with the grant received from GlobalGiving Foundation.

Outcomes and Impact

  •  The grant received has supported the organization’s efforts to build a safe house for the protection of women and children..

Challenges and Lessons LearnedHigh cost and unstable supply of building materials

One of the biggest obstacles is the rising and unpredictable cost of materials like cement, steel, tiles, and timber. These price increases make it difficult to maintain budgets for “safe” or quality housing projects, often forcing builders to compromise on materials or design standards.

Limited access to serviced land and infrastructure

Many construction projects struggle because suitable land is either not well planned or lacks basic infrastructure such as roads, water, drainage, and electricity. When developers have to provide these services themselves, the cost of building safe housing increases significantly and slows down projects.

Weak construction capacity and skills gaps

There is often a shortage of adequately trained engineers, contractors, and skilled workers, especially in rural and fast-growing urban areas. This can lead to poor workmanship, unsafe structures, and inconsistent quality control in housing projects.

Conclusion

The USD $1,000 grant made a valuable contribution to the successful implementation of this project. The support enabled meaningful progress toward project goals and created positive impact within the target community.

We sincerely appreciate the generosity and partnership of GlobalGiving Foundation. Your support continues to make a significant difference in advancing this important work.
