In a rural village in Romania, vulnerable children rely on us for therapy sessions, educational trips, and safe community activities that help them build confidence and access opportunities beyond their environment. Many of these children have limited resources and no alternative support. To reach therapy and participate in enrichment programs, they depend on one aging vehicle that also transports over 80 rescued animals to urgent veterinary care. Our vehicle travels more than 11,000 km per year
In our rural Romanian community, vulnerable children rely on us for therapy and educational activities, while over 80 rescued animals depend on us for veterinary care. Access to both services requires regular travel outside the village, where public transportation is extremely limited. Our work depends on one aging vehicle that is becoming unreliable. When it breaks down, children miss therapy sessions and animals miss critical medical treatment.
We aim to purchase a reliable used vehicle to ensure safe and consistent transport for children attending therapy and for rescued animals needing veterinary care. A dependable vehicle will remove transportation as a barrier and protect uninterrupted access to care, health, and opportunity.
Reliable transportation ensures that children do not miss therapy during critical developmental years and that rescued animals receive consistent medical care. Over time, this means: Stronger emotional and academic outcomes for children Reduced animal suffering and abandonment Greater community responsibility and compassion A more stable and sustainable support system in an underserved rural area This vehicle enables long-term access to care, opportunity, and prevention, year after year
