Emergency Transport Needed for Pregnant Wome

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank the donors who have supported the Safe Transport for Pregnant Women in Emergencies project. Your kindness shows concern for women who face serious risks during childbirth in rural communities. We truly appreciate the support received so far, however, the funds available at this time are still not enough to begin setting up the transport system.

In many rural areas, women in labour struggle to reach health facilities due to lack of transport. Poor roads, long distances, and the absence of vehicles make it difficult to get help on time, especially during emergencies at night or in bad weather.

These delays can lead to serious complications, loss of life, or unsafe deliveries outside health facilities. Families are often left without any reliable way to respond when urgent care is needed.

This project is designed to create a local emergency transport network using trained drivers with motorcycles or tricycles. A simple call system will allow families to reach help quickly when a woman is in labour or distress.

With this system in place, more women can reach care in time, reducing risks during childbirth and improving safety for both mother and child.

We are grateful for the support already shown toward this effort. With additional contributions, it will be possible to begin setting up this life saving service for communities in need.

Help Pregnant Women Reach Care Safely

Dear donors,

Thank you for your support and for showing concern for pregnant women who struggle to reach care during emergencies. We appreciate every contribution made so far, and we value the encouragement that comes from knowing people believe in this work. Although some donations have been received, they are not enough for us to begin the project, and we want to update you openly and responsibly.

Across many rural communities in Nigeria, women face dangerous delays when they go into labour or experience complications. Transport is often unavailable, especially at night or during heavy rains. Poor roads, long distances, and high transport costs make the situation even worse. Some women give birth on the roadside while trying to reach a clinic. Others arrive too late to save themselves or their babies. These delays remain one of the biggest causes of maternal deaths in the country.

This project was designed to reduce these tragedies by setting up an emergency transport network. The plan is simple but effective: train local drivers, place them on standby, and prepare them with motorcycles or tricycles for quick response. Families will call a local number when a woman needs help, and the driver closest to them will respond immediately. The project will cover the cost of fuel, communication tools, safety items, and basic incentives to keep the system active and reliable. This setup can save lives by cutting down the critical minutes lost when searching for transport.

However, to begin this work, we need enough funds to train drivers, purchase transport equipment, set up communication channels, and support the first months of operation. The donations received so far are not enough to cover even the basic startup costs. Until we reach a workable level of funding, we cannot start implementation.

We remain committed to this mission. Every contribution moves us closer to launching a system that will save mothers and babies from preventable deaths. Your continued support—whether through giving or sharing the project—will help us reach the level needed to begin.
