Our progress
By Caleb Muchungu | Country Coordinator
We wish to thank all our donors. Althjough we are still far off from our target we are working very hard to ensure that this project takes off this year.
We realise that many people outside Malawi may not know how dire the issue of lack of saniatry pads is to girls in Malawi. But it affects all speheres of their lives - from self esteem to the diffrence between them being in school or not. As a rural grassroots orgnaisation we are very much aware of the dire need for sanitary pads in rural areas hence this project.
We are confident that with your goodwill we will make this project a reality and that many girls will benefit from it. This year we will review the project fundraising stategy for the project and come up with clear way forward.

Progress Report

We are very grateful to all those dear kind hearted persons who have donated to this worthy cause. Every dollar in this project counts because that is the only way that we can achieve our target.
As the donations trickle in we are busy working on logistics so that when our target is reached it will be easy to start the project at once without any delays. Already we are identifying sources of raw materials as one of the early steps. This project is deeply rooted in the rural communities that we work with, the places where girls and young womren have no access to sanitary pads because of logistics of supply or cost factors. This may seem strange to some people who live in well developed places but is the reality for millions of girls and young women. This is the reason that we are also constantly coordinating with our grassroots communities and updating them accordingly on the amounts raised so far.
Again, thanks to all those who have donated or shared the link of the project.
