Kids Club Kampala aims to tackle the lack of self-esteem and hope that children in Uganda often have due to living in situations of extreme poverty. One of our main aims is to allow disadvantaged children the chance to just enjoy being children, to play and have fun away from the stresses and worries of their everyday lives.
The main problem that Kids Club Kampala is aiming to tackle is a lack of self-esteem and hope in children due to living in situations of extreme poverty. Kids in Uganda often have little time to play, grow, learn and be kids since surviving is the first priority.
One of our main aims is to allow disadvantaged children the chance to just enjoy being children, to play and have fun away from the stresses and worries of their everyday lives. In addition to weekly Kids Club activities, we also hold annual Christmas Parties and summer camps.
Kids Club Kampala began with Saturday Kids Clubs and they have been a great way to establish links with communities and support kids and families within these communities. We hope to continue to provide a safe place for kids to play and be kids for years to come.
