Dear donors,
Thank you for your donations and for the difference you are helping us make. Your support is giving women in Nigeria a better chance to understand bladder cancer early and access treatment on time.
During our World Bladder Cancer Awareness event in May 2025, we met many women who were living with symptoms but did not know what bladder cancer is. While most of them had heard of cancer generally, about 90% had never heard of bladder cancer. This means symptoms are often ignored or mistaken for common infections, and many women only seek help when the condition has become serious.
This project is focused on two key actions: awareness and treatment support. We will educate women on the early signs of bladder cancer and encourage timely hospital visits. We will also provide financial support for diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for 100 women identified during our campaign. Your donation will help reduce the cost burden that prevents many women from getting proper care.
At this stage, the funds raised are still not enough to kickstart this project. We are continuing fundraising efforts to close the gap and begin full implementation.
To prospective donors, thank you for considering support. Your contribution can help a woman get tested early, start treatment, and stay alive.
With thanks,
Joy O. Etubi
