This project builds a 6-unit classroom block for 80 deprived kindergarten pupils of three poor villages in the Adaklu district of Ghana who studies under tree with their academic calendar controlled by weather conditions.
Inclusive & equitable quality education is eluding Kindergarten pupils of Amuzudeve D.A Basic School. These 3-5 yr pupils learn under hash weather conditions of no fault of theirs. The onset of the raining season is a curse as it puts their academic calendar in jeopardy. Instead of the pupils giving up on education like 54 others in the community, Joy Haven Foundation will provide classrooms, teaching aid & opportunity to become responsible citizens as part of larger solution for their nation.
We eliminate schools under trees in rural areas by providing classrooms & other aids to enhance teaching and learning. Truancy will be curtailed and the other 54 pupils in the community unwilling to come to school will be motivated to come in addition to the 80 already in school. This will reduce child labor rate in the area & put the children's education on good footing. Thereby training them to become responsible citizens, lifting themselves & others out of poverty.
Education, they say is the key to success. This project will educate 850 pupils over the next ten years, bringing inclusive and equitable quality education to the door step of these children. Eliminate child labour & groom children who will grow to benefit society and the world at large. This will help them in the long term to lift themselves & others out of poverty & contribute meaningfully to their community's economy.
