Continuing our efforts since March 2020, we have been able to distribute the following to the families of ACT students:

  • February 18th 2021
  1. Ration kits - 39 kits
  2. Toys - 42 toys
  3. Snack boxes - 45 boxes
  4. Masks - 39 masks

  • June 5th 2021 - food provision kits - 17 kits
  1. Rice - 25kgs
  2. Toor - 4kgs
  3. Sugar - 4kgs
  4. Atta - 4kgs
  5. Sooji - 4kgs
  6. Chilli Powder - 400gms
  7. Dhaniya Powder - 400gms
  8. Tamarind - 500gms
  9. Oil - 4ltrs
  10. Jeera - 100gms
  11. Turmeric - 200gms
  12. Salt - 2kgs

The usual heroes, of course, still are the senior students (degree/ undergraduate students) who volunteer to organise and carry out the distribution drive. The team of senior students have been sorting, packing and distributing the supplies door to door since March 2020. They show a keen sense of ownership, empathy, teamwork and initiative.

Some of the challenges we have faced in the distribution process is due to the lockdown and curfew outside of 6AM to 10AM. We do not have the ePass to transit the city after 10AM, while our vendor is coming from so far that reaching us in time and going to all areas to distribute is difficult.

In order to overcome this, we have written a letter requesting the authorities to permit the distribution drive, stating the names of the senior students and staff who will be helping, authorised by our Trust (NGO).
