Summary

Project will help injured warriors, civilians and children to heal 4 times faster with wound VAC therapy. Millions of Ukrainians have been thrust into the midst of military and humanitarian disaster, with the number of injured and murdered rising by the day. While Russian crimes in Ukraine have horrified and scared the world, Ukrainians' bravery in fighting for their freedom, democracy and the fundamental values of a sovereign country has garnered the support of millions of people worldwide.

Challenge

Since the horrific Russian military invasion of Ukraine progressed, a humanitarian catastrophe has erupted across the country. With the surge in the number of injured soldiers, civilians, children suffering from gunshot wounds or mine injuries, we need your support to speed up the recovery process. We ask for your assistance for the best medical treatment for soldiers and civilians. People need access to more rapid healing treatment of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (VAC) to speed up recovery.

Solution

VAC therapy approach cuts the time to cure a severe wound significantly, from 2 months to 2 weeks by reducing edema, increasing blood flow, significantly lowering microbiological contamination and reducing wound cavity. Our friends KOLO Foundation discovered and acquired 9 devices of 3M VAC Therapy, which they already donated to Kyiv Military Hospital. Way Home Foundation, the Donate2Ukraine and the KOLO Foundation embark on the project's second stage: providing VAC dressings for each victim.

Long-Term Impact

Objectives are: to increase the number of VAC devices, maintain a consistent supply of VAC dressings to the hospital. We would be able to give these resources with your generous support. The Way Home Foundation will use all raised donations to purchase the materials from the official distributors of the 3M VAC Therapy brand. The Hospital in Kyiv requires 44,000-66,000USD per week for purchasing VAC dressings for healing of injured people. The more we gather, the better we will be able to assist!
