We care about the wounded in the war!

We are delighted that with your support we can use modern medical care technologies to treat war victims in Ukraine.

Our partner, the KOLO Foundation purchased and handed over to the Military Hospital of the city of Izmail a V.A.C.® device for treating wounds with negative pressure (vacuum wound therapy device) with a three-month set of consumables for it.

According to doctors, about 90% of the injuries that people receive in this war are mine and explosive injuries. It is vacuum therapy that is best suited for healing this type of damage. Thanks to the help provided, doctors speed up the recovery of Ukrainian soldiers by providing better cleaning of wounds.

V.A.C.® Therapy provides improved clinical outcomes whilst decreasing the burden on health services compared with standard dressings. V.A.C.® Therapy has been associated with:

  • Fewer hospitalisations,
  • Fewer complications
  • Fewer amputations
  • Fewer dressing changes
  • Shorter hospitalisation
  • Reduced treatment times
