By Johanna Barba | Sinal do Vale Team
For the past 10 weeks, SINAL hosted 17 young entrepreneurs from 16 different countries. Over the period of their stay, they took on the challenge of coming up with an innovative solution to bridge the education to employment gap issue amongst youth around the world, and at the same time worked on their individual social enterprise ventures. The next 10 months will be the implementation phase of their ventures, where each Fellow will work from home putting into practice what they learned at SINAL.
Notably, the result of the challenge was the creation of UpNetwork, a global network that connects youths to opportunities, training and employers in their communities. The network will begin operating through its first UpSite (a community branch), through Sinal do Vale in Brazil, and there are several other to be kickstarted around the world, including countries such as India, Poland and Botswana.
