Since 2022, LifeTime Projects, Vilaje, and Esplanade Middle School have supported 15 students from priority urban neighborhoods at risk of dropping out. Through sustainable citizenship projects, mentoring, and international exchange, they build self-confidence and find career paths. Support us to reduce school dropout and delinquency among Strasbourg youth by funding this two-year program.
Teachers and youth workers have observed an increasing risk of school dropout. Many teens withdraw, lose interest, or develop distrust toward adults, leading to poor grades, absenteeism, and sometimes delinquent behavior. These issues can stem from family, social backgrounds, or the harmful effects of social media.
We've created a partnership between three organizations in a priority urban area. From 8th to 9th grade, youth receive individual and group support. In the first year, they design a sustainable development project (book, game, or video), fostering teamwork and confidence. An international solidarity element connects them with youth abroad to expand their worldview. The second year focuses on career orientation, helping students explore professions and education paths through real-life encounter
Our goal is to help 15 young people over 2 years regain self-esteem, stay in school, and plan their future. By the end, they should be confident, motivated, and aware of the opportunities available to them. Testimonial (Aymen) "Thanks to the project, I feel more confident. We do activities, discover jobs, create together. We're not just sitting in class-we take action and explore what we love."
