The Children’s Museum Jordan – how we still managing during times of crisis
We, at the Children’s Museum Jordan, would like to spread our thanks for the new donors who chose our project and to the recurring donors as well who believed in our project and re-donated again to support it.
As we mentioned in our first report, the donations are contributing directly to our work in shaping and launching the Beyond Museum Walls Project, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have not been able to visit any children in hospitals or refugees’ camps yet. Once the pandemic’s situation gets better and the governmental regulations allow, we will start our tours in igniting hope and curiosity. From our previous experience, this project draws a smile on the faces of children in difficult conditions and brings learning to children during chemotherapy sessions, to others who have not been to school because of their refugee status and others who have been isolated in their host communities. The program contributes to helping refugee and sick children end their isolation and to integrating them in society.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to the social distancing regulations, the Science Shows are perfect to be presented during these extraordinary circumstances as they are hands-off and don’t need any physical engagement from the children, and we are more determined than ever to continue to be adaptable and rise to every challenge we face and to continue to serve all the children in Jordan in every way we can.
We will keep you posted regarding any updates and hope you find this partnership valuable and worthwhile. Please consider telling your friends and family about our project by sharing the link to our GlobalGiving project on social media, or just bring us up in conversation. We’d love to hear the story about why you have picked our project, and we think your friends would too.
Thank you again and stay safe.
Best regards
