To All Our  Donors!

Thank You for Partnering with Us

Receive warm greetings from SHARE, In 2013, SHARE was committed to rebuilding the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children on the streets, slums, rural areas in Eastern Uganda, empowering them to become productive in society. This has however not been easy as the needs of the children always overwhelm the available resources.

Since we started, we  have only been able to get a Total: $164.28 only for this entire project to support affected children with skills for selfreliance.

Our very first donations was made in March 27th 2017 of $25,

Our second donation was made on Next April 5th 2017 of $10,

Next donation was January 22nd 2020 of $24.28 ,

Next was on February 24th 2020 of $35

Our last donation was on March 21st of $70,

Since that date March 21st, 2021 todate we have never received any donations even after making several appeals in addition to the reality on the ground, desperate children needing help.

As we start a New Year 2024 we would like to recognize your tireless efforts in supporting the education of vulnerable children. Children on the streets, slums, have setting's have been denied every right to education. But every child deserves the right to education. It is the key that will unlock more opportunities and liberate them from ignorance, poverty and disease.

Your donations have yielded much fruit. In 2015, we have been able to support only 4 children in primary and 0 in secondary schools. 3 were trained in different work skills and 2. students supported were able to attend school, complete the skills trainings successfully and are happy. They now look towards a better future. Without your support some of these students would have  become hopeless. Thank you for having a heart for needy children. SHARE is counting on committed individuals like you to help unleash the potential in these children.

The Christmas season is over. It is time to give. gifts for vulnerable communities and children? We are greatly counting on your support in 2024.

Get involved

Sponsor, volunteer, fundraise and advocate!

In Africa, orphaned, school dropout youth  happen to be among the most marginalized groups. They are victims of rejection. Who cares whether they are sick, hungry, naked or dead! Society tends to blame them wholly for what they are going through before even giving them audience to understand their circumstances. They need to be listened to; you can be their voice! We'd love you to be part of the SHARE family and we restore the dignity of street children together

Your impact!

The making of a teacher!

Alice 17, the second born of five children (four boys and one girl). We have grown up with our paternal grandmother in Teso. War and karamojong raiders. She completed her nursery teaching course in 2023.

Transforming HOPELESSNESS into a GREAT TAILOR

Dina aged 17 years old is the second born in her family. Since her childhood, she dreamed of becoming a successful lady in life but all this faded at the point when her father passed on while she was in primary four (4). As their mother tried to fend for their survival, she (mother) moved with them to town and started selling cassava (chips) to at least get some money for food and family upkeep. Dina laments, Young as I was,I dropped out of school in P.4 and started supporting mymother with hawking chips in town. Today with your support, she is taking a tailoring course in DIT.

Mary– the FASHION DESIGNER!

Mary (16) dropped out of school after completing PLE in 2019. She was not able to join Senior One in 2020 because of her poor family could not afford the fees and other requirements. This was worsened by the COVID_19 pandemic which crippled even the small earnings her family could afford - causing skipping meals at home due to scarcity of food. "I became hopeless at home realizing that my entire dream of becoming a professional teacher heard been halted", Mary explains. "I was then influenced by my peers to join the street and start hawking local bread in Mbale city", she adds. While on the street, Mary came into contact with SHARE NGO staff who interviewed her and encouraged her to come along- to which she obliged. At SHARE she started receiving counselling and in 2021 was enrolled on the vocational skills training program.

Mary says, "Now I have gained a lot of skill in tailoring and garment cutting and my trainers say that am progressing well. With the skill i have gained, I am able to make various types of fashions of clothes'.

"I am very happy that my life has completely changed from a hopeless child into a skillful person with ability and potential to earn and also help other people in my community. My advice to fellow children is that they should concentrate on what they are doing if they get such opportunities in order to achieve their goals. Thank you everyone for the continued support to the hopeless like me and our families.", she adds.

Like Alice, Mary and Dina many children who would have lived in the streets because of hopelessness have been rescued, rehabilitated and empowered by you simple donations. These have been able to discover their identity and potential hence becoming productive and responsible citizens in their communities and Uganda at large.

We invite you to join us in helping change lives of thousands of children who live in the villages, slums and streets, mostly those that got affected by COVID-19, dropped out of school in 2020.

We wished you All Perfect health, a Blessed Christmas Season and a Happy New Year! Well done!

Yours Sincerely,

SHARE NGO Management.
