FOOD. HEALTH. OPPORTUNITY.
Dear Valued Partner:
First, we sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are well.
Thank you for making a difference to women's communities in rural East Africa. Your support made it possible for 3,000 women to graduate from the Seedlings and Soap program with the skills and inputs to grow food for their families. Currently, 1,500 mothers across 2 counties in rural Kenya now participate in the program. Mothers determine what to grow for their families. Working together on community land, each women’s group grows seedlings which are then divided and replanted in home gardens.
COVID continues to impact food security. Jobs are difficult to find. In our partner communities, families must choose between buying food or sending their children to school. This program lessens some of that sting by helping mothers grow nutrient dense vegetables for their families.
This week GlobalGiving will match by 50% all donations of $50 or less to this project! Thanks for your consideration and for your past support!
Wishing you continued good health.
With gratitude,
East African Children’s Fund
