Summary

Citadel Charity Women Organization is a non-governmental organization that is committed to a mission that transcends borders and defies adversity. The issue we address is one that strikes at the very heart of humanity: the plight of children forcibly uprooted from their educational journey by the relentless insurgency in Nigeria. For over a decade, Boko Haram's violence has inflicted immeasurable suffering on communities, leaving a trail of destruction and displacement in its wake.

Challenge

Non-State Armed Groups (NSAG) in Nigeria is child labour exploitation. NSAGs have been kidnapping young children, particularly in BAY States (Borno, Adamawa and Yobe) using them as combatants. They have been attacking schools, as well as kidnapping teachers in order to prevent children from accessing education. AccordingtoUnicef, 10.5 million children are out-of-school in Nigeria. This situation have led to thousands of them dropping out of school and missing crucial educational milestones.

Solution

This project would provide a tangible solution, helping to re-enroll 2000 children who have been forced out of school. Through partnerships with state officials, NGOs, and local communities. The project would identify the children in need and facilitate their return to school. It would provide access to education by supporting schools with supplies and materials. Providing psychosocial support for affected students. Ensuring their safety and accessibility to educational opportunities.

Long-Term Impact

Access to Standard education, food and psychosocial care services are all a fundamental human right and basic necessities required to survive. Education is the most potent antidote to intolerance and extremism, as it empowers children to think critically, embrace diversity, and reject the path of violence. With your support, we are building a foundation upon which Nigeria children and families will not only survive, butthrive. By sending them back to school, we are sowing the seed of stability
