Dear Supporters,
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each one of you for all the support you have and continue to provide to our project.
It is with your continued support and donations, that the computer program is a success.
Your generosity enables us to have a maintained presence in the community to provide support to women and girls, in order to drive positive change and encourage striving for success in not only their lives, within their families, but also within their community.
The Computer Program is geared towards women looking to gain proficient skills and additional qualifications to add to their resume. The skills acquired can be used to switch jobs, expand horizons, and increase economic opportunities. The computer project contributes to Sustainable Development Goals by giving the women skills to compete in the job market and instill them with a newfound sense of confidence, which can be lost over time due to a semi-traditional male-dominated and lead society. Not only can the women-attending pass the basic computer skills over to friends and other students, but they can also help their children and spouses. Due to current technological developments and our growing reliance on technology, it has become necessary to develop and obtain computer skills for jobs and life in general.
The difference made by this project can be measured not only in the increasing number of women signing up and waiting for lessons, but also in certificates earned every day, proud smiles, confidence, and thank-yous received. We continually endeavor for the Women’s Empowerment project to be not only sustainable but thriving, busy, prodactive, and always evolving to cater for the growing needs and interests of the community. The project empowers women to become teaches, giving them the opportunity to lead, mould, and guide other women through the course, as we work tirelessly in strong partnership to aim for the programs sustainable future.
Participants are leading the way with their skills and carving out a path for all South African women, to achieve more then they initially believe capable. We are proud to have your support to make these women’s dreams a reality!
With your generous contributions, this project is about much more than learning about computers, or learning how to create an email account, it is about community, sisterhood, and the notion of “Ubuntu”.
Thank you to all our supporters, it is with your help that we continue to pursue the further development of our courses and continue to have high enrolment, as well as community members becoming teachers alongside our dedicated volunteers.
Thank you, on behalf of every single life you have impacted, no matter how big or small.
Or as we say here in South Africa, ENKOSI!
