Show Corruption 'RedCard'Program in Kamukunji

By Enouce Ndeche | Project Principle

After a successful run of VAP’s Skillz program at Muthurwa primary school, the school management requested to have show corruption ‘Red Card’ program in their school. The connection and introduction of show corruption ‘Red Card’ program into Muthurwa primary was also influenced by teacher Felix who used to teach at Ruaka primary school where show corruption ‘Red Card’ program had just been concluded and graduated over 200 students.

Over 300 students from Muthurwa primary school are taking part in the show corruption ‘Red Card’ program. During the first day of the program, participants were given some surveys to fill by the Anti-corruption crusaders. The surveys contain basic questionnaires gauging the attitude and knowledge of participants regarding corruption. Majority of the participants indicated that they are much aware of what corruption is and its causes.

During day one, participants were taken through some skits and plays that carry out basic information about corruption and its causes. “I like the games because they are full of fun and good lessons that address anti-corruption” Said 13 years old Peter from Muthurwa primary school.
