Following up on the outdoor learning activities we re-started in April with the Santo Antonio children, we have hosted three impactful events in the Santo Antonio square over the past few months. Our first event, in partnership with the university, the children engaged in educational recycling games. That evening, we transformed the square into an outdoor cinema, screening a real-life documentary about trash collectors in Brazil. It was a powerful moment, as the children came to understand the significance of recycling and saw the human faces behind the process, realizing how their efforts can make a real difference.
To deepen their commitment, we organized a green bazaar event. Each child had the chance to exchange recycling materials for a gift of their choice, be it a game or a piece of clothing. Their smiles and excitement were priceless, as they experienced the joy of giving back to the environment in such a tangible way.
By the end of these events, 100 participants, including children of all ages, had learned how to positively impact their neighborhood and support their community.
With your continued support, we can keep empowering these children to become transformative change agents. Please don't hesitate to share this with friends and family!
