Challenge

Many Nigerian graduates leave university without skills that match job market demands. With unemployment rates above 70%, young people face financial hardship, underemployment, and limited career prospects. The lack of practical experience prevents them from starting businesses or accessing formal employment, leaving them dependent on unstable informal work. Without intervention, youth unemployment will continue to rise, affecting economic growth and social stability in communities.

Solution

This project provides practical skills training, mentorship, and seed grants to unemployed graduates. Training will focus on digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and vocational trades, equipping participants with tools to start small businesses or seek employment. Mentorship will guide graduates on applying their skills, managing businesses, & accessing opportunities. By combining training with tangible support, the project gives graduates the ability to create income, & contribute to local economy

Long-Term Impact

Graduates who complete the program will gain marketable skills and practical experience, increasing employment and income opportunities. Seed grants will enable many to start small businesses, generate revenue, and create jobs for others. Long term, the program will reduce youth unemployment, strengthen local economies, and provide a model for scalable skills development. Communities will benefit from a skilled, productive workforce that can drive economic growth and improve livelihoods.
