The “Skills Training for 400 Refugees in Kebbi State” project, implemented by Elite Star Foundation, remains in the early fundraising and mobilization stage. The total project budget is $41,198, with $0 raised to date, leaving the full $41,198 funding requirement outstanding. Despite the current funding gap, the project team has commenced preliminary preparations, including stakeholder engagement, training needs assessment, identification of qualified vocational instructors, and assessment of suitable training centres within host communities. The project is designed to train 400 refugees in practical skills such as tailoring, soap production, hairdressing, phone repairs, and agro-processing, alongside entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Once funding is secured, priority expenditure will cover training materials, raw materials, instructor fees, transportation support, and starter toolkits for beneficiaries. These financial priorities are structured to ensure that available funds are directed toward activities with the most direct impact on participants and their ability to generate sustainable income.
