Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting this project to provide 20 solar-powered fridges for rural clinics in Nigeria. Your support will allow health workers to store vaccines safely, protecting children, pregnant women, and other vulnerable patients from preventable diseases.
Many rural clinics struggle with unreliable electricity, making it difficult to maintain the cold chain for vaccines. Without proper storage, vaccines lose effectiveness, putting communities at risk of outbreaks. Health workers are committed, but lack of functional fridges limits their ability to deliver essential immunizations and care.
This project will install solar-powered refrigerators in 20 clinics that serve hard-to-reach areas. These fridges run entirely on sunlight, require minimal maintenance, and do not depend on fuel or unstable grid electricity. With reliable cold storage, health workers can ensure vaccines remain potent and expand access to immunizations for thousands of people.
These solar fridges will strengthen rural healthcare, reduce vaccine spoilage, and improve immunization coverage. Children and mothers will be healthier, and health workers can deliver care more efficiently. While some support has been received, it is not yet enough to implement the program. With your continued generosity, we can equip these clinics and safeguard the health of countless communities.
With thanks,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
