Within northwest Syria, there are hundreds of abandoned wells in need of repair and fuel. These costs are inhibitors for the many displaced people who already struggle to get by - and it is for this reason NuDay intervenes with innovative and sustainable solutions. Rather than simply repairing wells and leaving displaced women and children to secure fuel independently, NuDay is retrofitting wells to convert solar energy into power. This means that women and children have free access to water every day.
NuDay's solar project also provides each family with water tanks that are centrally located, bringing water to the doorsteps of beneficiaries. Beneficiaries have praised this project, sharing that it is alleviating the main stress that they have when it comes to providing for their families.
In 2020, we reached almost 60,000 people through the installation of solar powered wells thanks to your support.
In this day and age, working green is a non-brainer: if we work to create environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions to everyday problems, we guarantee long-term success.
