Over the past months, our team has continued to fight one of the most pressing issues concerning animals, in rural Romania: the uncontrolled reproduction of dogs and cats.
Through your support, we continued to carry out a series of spay and neuter campaigns in our area.
Just last month alone:
35 animals got sterilized (dogs and cats)
Majority from low-income households and abandoned populations
Interventions in areas where sterilization is rare or nonexistent
Each procedure represents not just one animal helped, but hundreds of future lives spared from suffering.
In the rural area where we work, animals are often left to reproduce freely, unwanted litters are abandoned or live in harsh conditions and communities lack financial resources for veterinary care or/and access to it.
By focusing on prevention rather than reaction, we reduce abandonment rates, animal suffering and pressure on already overwhelmed rescuers - like ourselves.
Spaying and neutering is the most humane and effective long-term solution.
