My name is Fareed, I am 45 years old and work as a laborer in the fields all day. For the past few months I had begun experiencing intense fatigue, persistent thirst, and an overall decline in my physical well-being. It was a confusing and challenging time for me, as these symptoms seemed unrelated, and were affecting my livelihood. As a laborer I am used to working all day in the sun, but my health issues were also affecting my ability to work and provide for my family.
I sought treatment from SHINE Humanity's clinic, where their empathetic approach led to my diagnosis of Diabetes, marking the beginning of a comprehensive treatment plan that addressed not only the symptoms but also provided guidance on my lifestyle adjustments.
Thanks to SHINE Humanity, I've regained my energy, allowing me to resume my duties with renewed strength. I am sincerely thankful for their compassionate care, which has made a significant difference in my life.
SHINE Humanity's diabetes program plays an important part in diagnosing and treating Diabetes. We are grateful for your continued support to provide quality primary healthcare to the underserved communities.

Nadir - A diabetic patient at Koohi Goht
My name is Nadir, and I am 67 years old. I came to the SHINE Humanity Clinic in Koohi Goth, because I felt I was always thirsty, my hands often felt numb, and occasionally my vision was blurred. Initially I put these health issues down to old age, but I felt the problems were getting worse over time. During the night, the quality of my sleep was also greatly disturbed as I was getting up very frequently to use the toilet.
At the Koohi Goth Clinic, SHINE physicians immediately identified potential symptoms of Type II Diabetes Mellitus and administered an HbA1C test to confirm their diagnosis. Once diagnosed, I was prescribed medical treatment and nutritional counselling. During my follow up visits, I am always sure to thank the SHINE physicians and nurses at SHINE’s clinic, for providing quality care within my hometown.
By encouraging patients to also adapt to a healthier lifestyle, SHINE is able to provide a holistic approach to medical care. Our Diabetes program which provides quality primary healthcare to the underserved communities are only possible with the help of our donors. We are grateful for your continued support.

Kulsoom, a 50-year-old housewife, had beed experiencing symptoms like excessive thirst and fatigue for about a year. Despite the seriousness of her condition, she assumed it was just a normal part of growing old and continued to look after her home and family.
Kulsoom's brother finally realized that there was something seriously wrong, and urged her to seek medical help. She visited the SHINE Humanity clinic and saw a qualified doctor, who advised her to undergo a series of tests, eventually diagnosing her with diabetes. She was prescribed medicines to better manage her symptoms, along with certain changes in diet and lifestyle.
Over time her symptoms improved tremendously, for which Kulsoom is very thankful. She now regularly visits the clinic for follow-up appointments. She owes her renewed health to the appropriate and timely care provided by the doctors and states that the clinic has proven to be extremely efficient and accessible.
Routine checks for diabetic patients are very important to reduce the risk of complications like heart problems and amputations. SHINE Humanity is grateful for the support of our generous donors, without whom creating accessible and cost-friendly primary healthcare clinics would not be possible.
