Together We Are Building a Safe and Loving Home for Underprivileged Children

Warm Greetings from SERUDS!

We sincerely thank you for your continued generosity and compassionate support towards the deprived orphans through GlobalGiving, a registered 501(c)(3) organization in the USA. Your valuable contributions have brought hope, care, and happiness to the lives of our children.

Over the years, several professionals, government officials, and Members of the Legislative Assembly have visited our children’s home, spending quality time with the orphans. Their motivational interactions have inspired the children to stay disciplined, dream big, and work hard to achieve their life goals. Medical experts have also guided them on maintaining hygiene and health awareness.

We began our orphanage fifteen years ago with just five children from underprivileged backgrounds. Today, we proudly care for 40 children, providing them with:

Nutritious meals three times a day
Quality education and additional tutoring for higher classes
Separate, safe accommodation for boys and girls
Proper sanitation, hygiene, and regular medical check-ups
Recreation and personality development opportunities

Our children, aged 7 to 17 years, study from 1st Class to Intermediate at reputed institutions like IGMM School and Keshava Memorial High School. Festivals are celebrated with great joy and unity, fostering a sense of family among all children, irrespective of religion or background.

During the 2021–2022 academic year, we welcomed children brought by volunteers and community leaders from tribal and rural areas. All 40 children continue their education enthusiastically and participate in learning activities with full dedication.

We deeply appreciate your heartfelt support for our orphanage program. Your kindness continues to transform young lives and help us build a brighter future for every child under our care.

Joy Home Orphanage: A Safe Home, Education, and Hope for Orphaned Children

As we step into a new year filled with hope and possibilities, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continued generosity and compassion.

As part of our ongoing commitment to uplift and empower underprivileged children, SERUDS continues to run the Joy Home Orphanage, a safe and nurturing home for 35 abandoned orphans and street children aged 5 to 17 years. These children are currently pursuing their education from Grade I to Grade XII and are provided with essential services including nutritious food, quality education, healthcare, clothing, and recreational opportunities.

The children at Joy Home show remarkable enthusiasm for both academics and extracurricular activities. They consistently perform well in their studies and secure good academic results. Alongside education, we strongly emphasize holistic development by organizing dance classes, indoor games within the orphanage, and outdoor sports activities at school. These initiatives not only enhance their physical and mental well-being but also instill confidence, discipline, and teamwork.

Coming from remote and rural regions, these children once faced extreme deprivation, neglect, and homelessness. Since the establishment of Joy Home Orphanage in 2012, we have been able to offer them a secure environment filled with care, love, and dignity. They were brought to us through the sincere efforts of community leaders, volunteers, and our dedicated field staff, who identified their urgent need for protection and support.

Today, Joy Home is more than just a shelter—it is a true home where children feel a sense of belonging, stability, and hope for the future.

This transformation has been made possible because of you. Your generous donations and unwavering support have enabled us to meet the daily needs of these children and guide them toward a brighter and self-reliant future. Without your kindness, sustaining this life-changing initiative would be a significant challenge.
