Kidspire's core competency is bringing high quality STEM Education into otherwise underserved or under-resourced communities in Vietnam - and the majority of our students are orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs). Every year, Technovation is one of our favorite projects of the year - providing groups of girls the opportunities to take a hard look at their local communities and identfy ways that they could use technology to create a solution to those challenges. This year, with your help!, Kidspire was able to bring this amazing program to 184 girls - our biggest group of participants yet.
These 184 participants, making up 58 teams, identified challenges such as clean drinking water, domestic violence, youth depression, school bullying, air pollution, and many more. Seeing these young ladies collaborate and work together to identify solutions, code their app, and create their pitch and demo vidoes, was nothing short of inspiring.
And your donations helped to make it all possible. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Tad
P.S. In the next report, we'll share some of the pitch videos. Because the project deadline was today, we need to keep those videos confidential until the global team of judges has had the opportunity to score the teams.
