As Kidspire continues to deep our programming related to Social Emotional Learning, it is becoming more and more important that our teachers demonstrate their ability to listen, while showing caring, understanding, and patience to our students. With the majority of our students living within institutional settings, separated from their parents, we have found that many of them have a hard time trusting the adults around them. Our teachers are at the frontlines of helping these children and youth to re-build their ability to trust of other people around them. This has required a significant investment in professional development as seek to surround out teaching team with the tools they need to be a support system to our students.
And through it all, STEM continues to be our platform for learning. it's the hook that engages the learners, drawing them into class and making it possible for our teachers to introduce topics that may be taboo to our students.
Thank for helping us to keep these programs running.
Sincerely,
Tad
