The NSPPL (Syrian National Project for Prosthetic Limbs) has been a cornerstone of hope amid the Syrian crisis since 2013. Our mission is to rehabilitate and reintegrate vulnerable populations, particularly individuals with disabilities, into society. By providing essential medical, relief, and educational services, we aim to lead positive societal transformations and empower those affected by conflict and natural disasters to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
The ongoing Syrian conflict, now in its thirteenth year, coupled with the devastating February 2024 earthquake, has created an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. With 16.7 million people in need of assistance, the demand for medical, relief, and educational services has reached critical levels. Vulnerable groups, especially individuals with disabilities, face immense challenges in accessing the care and support they need to rebuild their lives.
NSPPL's holistic approach addresses both the physical and psychological needs of those affected by war and disaster. By establishing centers in Syria and Turkey, we provide comprehensive care for amputees and individuals requiring orthotic devices. Our project focuses on manufacturing and maintaining prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices, enabling 861 individuals, including 273 children, to regain their independence and reintegrate into society.
