Your Support Helps Mahmoud Stand Tall

By Vasim Cablut | Project Leader

Dear Supporter,

We are pleased to share a heartfelt update about Mahmoud and the meaningful progress he is making thanks to your generous support.

Mahmoud was born with cerebral atrophy, which significantly affected his ability to stand and walk independently. Determined to improve his mobility, he visited the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Afrin accompanied by his grandmother. Our specialized team carefully assessed his condition and identified the most suitable solution to meet his specific needs.

A custom KAFO (Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis) device was designed and crafted for Mahmoud in the center’s orthotics workshop. This specialized brace provides essential support from his thigh down to his foot, helping stabilize his lower limb and improve his balance while standing and walking. With gradual training and consistent use, Mahmoud is beginning to move with greater confidence and security in every step he takes.

Your contribution has played a vital role in giving Mahmoud the opportunity to build strength, gain independence, and participate more actively in daily life. Because of your compassion, he is starting a new chapter filled with hope, resilience, and growing self-confidence.

Thank you for being a cornerstone of this transformation. Your continued belief in children like Mahmoud creates lasting impact and opens doors to brighter, more active futures. Together, we are helping many more children take their first confident steps toward independence.

With sincere gratitude,
