Dear Supporter,
Thank you for your generous support, which is making a meaningful difference in Mahmoud’s life. Mahmoud was born with cerebral atrophy, which has affected his ability to stand and walk. He recently visited the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Afrin with his grandmother, where the specialized team carefully assessed his condition and identified the most suitable device for his needs.
A custom KAFO was then designed for Mahmoud in the center’s prosthetics and orthotics workshop. This device provides essential support for his lower limb, extending from the thigh to the foot, and helps improve his balance while standing and walking. With continued practice and rehabilitation, Mahmoud is expected to move with greater confidence and feel safer as he takes his first steps.
We hope to see Mahmoud participate more fully in his daily activities, gain new independence, and build stronger self-confidence as he begins a more active and vibrant chapter in his life. Your kindness is helping make this journey possible and giving children like Mahmoud the chance to look ahead with hope.
