Dear donors,
Thank you for standing with us in this work to protect women and children from the burden of HIV. Your willingness to give shows that you care about the lives of vulnerable families who often have no access to proper healthcare. We value your kindness and the trust you place in us as we work to change their story.
This project was created to address a serious problem that continues to affect many communities across Nigeria. The country still carries one of the highest numbers of HIV-positive women and children. Many mothers do not receive prevention services during pregnancy, which puts newborns at risk of infection even before they take their first breath. In low-income and rural areas, poverty, stigma, and long distances to health facilities make the situation even worse. Children born with HIV struggle to get treatment, and without care many do not survive past early childhood.
Our aim is simple: to break this cycle. The project seeks to provide free HIV testing, antiretroviral treatment, follow-up support, and clear health education for women and children. These services help mothers stay healthy and prevent the virus from passing to their babies. They also give families hope and the strength to build better futures.
However, we must be open with you. The donations received so far are not enough for us to begin the core activities of the project. We have not yet reached the financial level required to purchase test kits, secure medication, organize follow-up visits, or deploy trained community workers. The need is great, and every contribution brings us closer to starting the work that will save lives.
We remain committed to this mission. As more support comes in, we will move into full implementation. We are grateful for your belief in this vision and for every effort you make to help us reach the communities who depend on this project. Your support is the foundation on which we will build meaningful change.
With appreciation,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
