Dear Patron, Namaste!
Warm Greetings from RSKS India.....
Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan launched a powerful edition of the Humari Awaz Suno program, targeting the roots of gender-based violence in rural communities. RSKS reached over 950 adolescents across 19 government schools. The initiative transformed young students into active advocates for equality, equipping them with the knowledge and courage to challenge harmful norms in their villages.
RSKS team facilitated deep engagement through flip charts to explain the complex issue of gender-based violence in simple terms. The students then moved beyond the classroom, organizing a powerful awareness public rally that snaked through the village, drawing the attention of local residents. The momentum continued with a signature campaign where students, teachers, and community members made a public pledge, formally expressing their stance on eliminating gender-based violence.
The adolescents took full ownership of the campaign. Adolescents actively participated in guided group discussions, critically examining stereotypes and social norms. They presented their reflections through creative charts, demonstrating thoughtful understanding and a strong commitment to change. These sessions fostered confidence, critical thinking, and peer-led advocacy.
In a modern twist to a traditional message, the students used the "My Selfie" initiative, capturing and sharing their portraits with messages of gender equality across the village, ensuring the conversation reached every household. This holistic approach is building a new generation committed to respect and justice.
