A Story of RUMA.........!!

My name is Ruma (Name Changed), and I am 42 years old. I live with my two children in a small house in our village. Life took a difficult turn for us when my husband passed away during the corona pandemic. The loss of my husband was a heavy burden to bear, and I struggled with depression for a long time. It was hard to find hope in the midst of such pain and uncertainty.

However, things began to change when Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) came to our area for a survey about their Beauty Parlour Vocational School. They learned about my situation and decided to enroll me in their three-month vocational training program. I was both surprised and grateful for the opportunity.
 
During the training, I learned so much about the beauty industry, both theoretically and practically. The instructors at RSKS were patient and supportive, guiding us through various skills and techniques. I discovered a newfound passion for beauty and makeup, and for the first time in a long while, I felt a sense of purpose and excitement about the future. After completing the vocational training, I was determined to put my new skills to use. With the support and encouragement of RSKS, I opened my own beauty parlour shop in our village. It was a dream come true for me, and I was filled with pride and gratitude.

To make the experience even more special, three of my batchmates from the vocational school joined me in the beauty parlour. We work together as a team, supporting each other and serving our customers with care and dedication. It's wonderful to have friends by my side, sharing the journey and helping our community look and feel their best. The beauty parlour has become a source of income for my family, providing us with stability and a better quality of life. I am also able to save some money for my children's future, which gives me peace of mind. The work brings me joy and fulfillment, and I no longer feel the weight of depression holding me back. I cannot express how grateful I am to RSKS for their support and guidance. They believed in me when I was struggling, and they gave me the tools and confidence to rebuild my life. Their vocational training program has not only transformed my life but also empowered me to help others in my community.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) initiated the "Education For Every Girl" program to promote educational opportunities for underprivileged girls in rural areas. To kickstart this initiative, RSKS India team members conducted a comprehensive door-to-door survey involving around 3300 intelligent school girls from approximately 125 different inaccessible rural villages. The aim of the survey was to identify and select girls who are in genuine need of educational support and resources.

During the survey, team members collected data on each girl’s educational background, family income, and specific needs related to schooling materials such as books, stationery, and other essential supplies. This thorough approach allowed the team to assess the educational environment in these villages and understand the barriers that hinder girls from continuing their education. Once the data collection was complete, RSKS analyzed the information to create a targeted list of girls who would benefit the most from educational support. The findings highlighted the significant challenges faced by these girls, including financial constraints and lack of access to necessary educational resources.

The "Education For Every Girl" program is poised to make a profound impact on the lives of the 3300 school girls surveyed, as well as their families and communities. By identifying and selecting girls who are genuinely in need, RSKS India is ensuring that the educational support provided is both meaningful and impactful. The forthcoming distribution of educational stuff supplies will empower these girls to pursue their studies with the necessary tools, significantly enhancing their chances of academic success.

Moreover, this initiative creates a sense of hope and motivation among the girls, as they recognize that their education is valued and supported by RSKS India and their community. Many of these girls come from families facing economic hardships, where education may not be prioritized due to financial constraints. Providing educational resources will not only alleviate some of these burdens but will also inspire families to invest in their daughters' education, promoting a cultural shift toward valuing girls’ education in rural communities. By emphasizing the importance of educating girls, RSKS India contributes to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering future generations.
